Project Description
BD25 is a key manufacturing plant for Kimberly-Clark Vietnam, the global group behind brands such as Kotex and Huggies. Located in VSIP II Industrial Park, the project called for a contractor experienced in large-scale industrial construction and in the standards of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing.
Project Requirements
- Heavy-duty, super-flat floors: Foundations and floors had to carry heavy dynamic loads from continuous production lines, with near-perfect surface flatness.
- Hygienic production environment: Strict control of microbes, dust, humidity, and temperature, with dust-resistant, easy-to-clean walls, ceilings, and finishes.
- Global EHS standards: Full compliance with Kimberly-Clark’s strict environmental, health, and safety rules, with a “Zero Incident” target.
Approach
- Advanced construction methods: Super Flat Floor finishing with surface hardener for precise machine installation, and 3D modeling of the prefabricated steel structure to eliminate clashes.
- Strict safety discipline: A dense HSE supervision network, with daily job safety analysis (JSA) and Permit to Work for all heavy lifting and work at height.
- Integrated, phased delivery: Coordinated structural, architectural, and MEP teams, with each area inspected on completion and handed over early for machine installation.
Project Results
- Delivered as planned: Completed and handed over in 2024, supporting Kimberly-Clark’s production expansion in Vietnam.
- High-quality production space: A clean, well-ventilated, and safe plant that meets all hygiene standards and closed-loop operating processes.
- Excellent safety record: Completed with a flawless safety record, demonstrating VIETTOP’s professional site management for multinational clients.
