Project Description
Located at Giga Mall, one of the busiest shopping centers in Thủ Đức City, the McDonald’s Giga Mall Restaurant project is an important highlight in Good Day Hospitality’s store expansion strategy. This project continues to affirm the standing and capabilities of VIETTOP Construction in building high-quality F&B spaces. With a prime location and heavy foot traffic, the store was designed and built to offer a modern, dynamic dining space rich in the culture of the world’s number one fast-food brand.
Project Requirements
- Compliance with the shopping center’s strict regulations: Construction inside Giga Mall required strict adherence to the building management’s rules on working hours (mainly night-shift work), noise, sanitation, and fire and explosion safety.
- Integrated systems: The restaurant’s electrical, ventilation, exhaust, and fire prevention and fighting (FPF) systems had to be connected in a coordinated and safe manner without affecting the shared infrastructure of the entire shopping center.
- Ensuring McDonald’s global standards: Absolute adherence to the brand identity and design standards (Brand Guidelines), from materials and colors to lighting, ensuring a consistent customer experience.
- Tight schedule: Construction time was shortened so that the Developer could put the restaurant into operation in time, ahead of the festive seasons at the shopping center.
Approach
- Close coordination with the management board: VIETTOP’s supervision team worked closely with the Giga Mall management to plan material transportation, obtain approval of technical drawings, and resolve issues arising overnight so as not to interrupt the schedule.
- Prefabricated construction and rapid assembly: To optimize on-site construction time, most interior components and counters were fully fabricated at VIETTOP’s workshop, then carefully packed and transported to the site for assembly.
- Applying VIETTOP safety standards: Implementing the highest level of enclosure, dust control, noise control, and occupational safety risk management, demonstrating the professionalism of a leading F&B chain contractor.
Project Results
- Outstanding handover in 2023: The project went into operation on the committed schedule, ready to serve thousands of customers every day at Giga Mall.
- Top-tier finishing quality: The restaurant space stands out and catches the eye thanks to its sharp finishing, from the floor and ceiling to the brand identity details.
- Smooth, safe operation: The industrial kitchen and electrical systems operate reliably with good air circulation, completely eliminating odor problems in the enclosed shopping center environment, to the full satisfaction of Good Day Hospitality.
